The Autism Society Acadiana Inclusive Garden Project has officially been upgraded from a Bronze Level to a Silver Level Louisiana Certified Habitat through the Louisiana Native Plant Society!

This recognition reflects the continued growth and impact of the garden as a welcoming, sensory-friendly space that supports Louisiana’s native plants, wildlife, and natural ecosystems while also serving autistic individuals, families, and the greater community.

Located at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana, the Inclusive Garden Project combines education, accessibility, wellness, and environmental stewardship through features such as sensory gardening experiences, native plant education, interactive spaces, movement activities, and calming areas designed for individuals of all abilities.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who has contributed their time, creativity, and hard work to help the garden continue to grow into a meaningful community resource. This Silver Level certification represents another exciting milestone in creating an inclusive space where people and nature can thrive together.
