How It Works:
A Stipend Committee made up of board members reviews all applications based on our guidelines.
Applications are accepted year-round but only reviewed in April and August each year. You’ll be notified by email up to a month after reserved application review months.
Who Can Apply:
Must be a current member of Autism Society Acadiana.
Must show proof of ASD diagnosis.
Must be an active member, meaning you or your parent/guardian have attended at least 4 events (support groups, fundraisers, workshops, etc.) in the past year. Be sure to sign in at each event.
Applicants under 18 must have a parent or guardian apply for them.
You may submit other forms of participation for review.
What We Fund:
Social skills groups
Non-traditional therapies
Camps and leisure activities
Family education and conferences
Communication or safety devices
Assistive technology
College, trade school, or continued education for Autistic individuals
Additional Info:
Maximum request is $250. You may not receive the full amount.
Funds are paid directly to the provider (not to individuals).
We can only fund one provider per application.
If applying for a camp or program, secure your spot with a down payment—don’t wait for stipend approval.
Please send 3 pictures of applicant at or utilizing what the grant purchased. Sending photos is an acknowledgment that they will be used on social media and website.
What We Don’t Fund:
Other nonprofits
Fundraisers
Swing sets, trampolines, clothing
Bills, groceries, daycare, vacations
Medical diagnoses or therapies covered by insurance
